The Center for Citizen Diplomacy’s mission cuts across sectors and unites diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals. The Center’s vision imagines a world that benefits from purposeful global engagement driven by thoughtful citizen diplomacy. The work of making that vision a reality will continue for generations to come and will take shape in many forms.

In addition to promoting the important work of organizations in the Citizen Diplomacy Network, the Center also designs and implements some of its own programs in order to address emerging needs in person-to-person global engagement. These programs create additional opportunities for citizen diplomacy, which is recognized as a powerful force in building and sustaining a secure, economically sound, and socially interconnected world.
