MovingWorlds is a social impact organization addressing the global talent gap. Its online platform and community connects people who want to travel and volunteer their expertise directly with social enterprises, nonprofits, and/or schools around the world. MovingWorlds maintains quality by selectively sourcing professionals and organizations who then interact through its website to find each other and plan high-impact “Experteering” engagements. In addition, innovative corporations can leverage the same platform to economically create and manage worldwide skills-based volunteering programs for employees.

  • Address the global talent gap. Accelerate the impact of social entrepreneurs by helping them gain access to expertise in order to overcome business challenges, while connecting people to life-enriching social impact opportunities around the world.

  • Public Matching Network at www.MovingWorlds.org

Connecting people that want to change the world with organizations changing it.

International Skills-based Volunteering Programs for Groups.

The MovingWorlds platform, network, and training makes it possible for groups to quickly and economically develop international skills-based volunteering programs.

  • In 2011, Mark Horoszowski left a marketing agency he co-founded to volunteer his skills with social enterprises around the world for a year. While “Experteering” in Argentina, he met Derk Norde, who had previously co-founded the Business in Development Network.

The two connected over their interest in helping social entrepreneurs scale faster, and both recognized the “Talent gap” as a critical barrier to growth. Additional research from the World Economic Forum cemented the need for such a service, and in 2012 they set out to build MovingWorlds.org.
